Connecticut Speech-Language-Hearing Association

The Connecticut Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation

MISSION : The Connecticut Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation was established in 1978 for the purpose of promoting, developing and maintaining charitable, scientific, and educational programs to improve the quality of life for individuals who experience speech, language, or hearing impairment. Money raised by the foundation supports a wide variety of professional and consumer activities including educational workshops on topics related to family and consumer advocacy as well as professional development in the areas of speech-language pathology and audiology. The foundation awards scholarships on a yearly basis to graduate students in speech-language pathology and audiology at Southern Connecticut State University and the University of Connecticut. Foundation scholarship awards include:

  • The Geraldine Garrison Scholarship
  • CSH Foundation Graduate Student Scholarship
  • Kenneth T. Gist Promising Professional Award
  • Antonia Brancia Maxon Scholar/Clinician Scholarship

Please consider an annual or legacy contribution to the foundation so that it may continue its important work. The foundation is run by a volunteer board of trustees and 100% of your donations are directed towards scholarships and other foundation events. Even a modest donation goes a long way to supporting the professions of audiology and speech-language pathology and people with communication disorders.
